Ultraness in glossy LCD panels with a super contrast and anti-reflective technology makes a nice Advent Crystalbrite (TM) notebook screen. In 2003 Advent notebooks were fitted with glossy and anti-reflective monitors that were newest in technology then and included grade A++ replacement parts. Advent doesn’t sell refurbished screens

XGA picture quality is the older technology than LCD trend, newest being the WXGA with a widescreen picture. Matte is always recommended on screens which are not wide such as XGA’s perfect combination of reduced refraction and reflection in  screens. That’s the reason these are  perfect laptop LCDs for outdoor use.

If you have a problem with the screen,first find out whether a replacement is needed   by connecting it to a monitor. If the monitor displays images then the problem is with the lcd screen If the display appears but with a dark background the panel light is probably faulty. Check the panel light to the power supply as this could also be faulty.
